Tite Kubo’s Burn the Witch manga will be made into a new anime

Posted on May 15, 2023May 15, 2023 by CharlotteM

The world of anime and manga has a new development to look forward to as Burn the Witch, the latest manga from Tite Kubo, the renowned Japanese mangaka behind Bleach, is set to be adapted into an anime series. The news was announced by Shonen Jump News on May 12, 2018, and has since been met with excitement from fans around the world.

For those who may not be familiar with Kubo’s work, he is known for his unique art style and storytelling style, which often features supernatural elements, including paranormal hunters, swordsmen, and, in this case, witches. While not as well-known as Bleach, Burn the Witch has already amassed a dedicated following and is sure to attract more attention once the anime series is released.

According to the official website, the manga follows the story of two witches named Noel Niihashi and Ninny Spangcole, who work as protection agents for Wing Bind (WB), an organization that manages and conserves dragons in London on behalf of the people. The series takes place in “Reverse London,” a magical underworld that is hidden from the average person in the “Front London” dimension, which is teeming with supernatural creatures, including dragons.

In the past, 72% of all deaths in Front London have been attributed to dragons, but since they are invisible to the unaided eye, their existence is often regarded as a myth. However, in Reverse London, dragons are an integral part of life and can be found in many aspects of the world.

Burn the Witch is part of the Bleach universe, taking place 12 years after the Quincy Blood War and two years after the events of chapter 686. While it shares similarities with Bleach, including Kubo’s unique art style and the supernatural elements, it is set in a different part of the world, giving fans a chance to explore new aspects of Kubo’s storytelling.

As for the anime adaptation, there is still much we do not know, including the release date and the cast. However, with the popularity of the manga and Kubo’s previous success with Bleach, fans are eagerly anticipating what the anime will bring.

In conclusion, Burn the Witch is a highly anticipated anime adaptation that will no doubt delight fans of Tite Kubo’s previous work, as well as newcomers to his unique style of storytelling. With a fascinating premise, compelling characters, and Kubo’s signature art style, this anime is sure to be one of the highlights of the year for anime and manga enthusiasts alike.
